Inspired by the Demon Slayer universe, this collectible replica of Michikatsu Tsugikuni's blade reflects the distinctive visual appearance of this complex character. With a total length of 104 cm, the blade is made of dark-tinted stainless steel, the length of which is 68 cm, accentuated by light patterns across its entire surface. Its handle, decorated with delicate green cotton braiding, is extended by a metal guard with the characteristic shape of the version seen in the anime. The scabbard, made of wood covered with painted imitation leather, completes this piece by recalling the sober and marked aesthetic of the weapon of a former Slayer turned demonic moon. This katana is intended exclusively for decoration or collection.
Michikatsu Tsugikuni, Yoriichi's twin brother, was one of the first demon slayers to wield the Breath of the Moon, a complex variation of the Breath of the Sun. His sword, like his fighting style, is marked by a martial rigor inherited from his human past and his gradual transition towards a demonic existence.
As the story progresses, Michikatsu adopts the identity of Kokushibo, becoming Upper Moon One, while retaining the technical foundations of his Slayer origins. His weapon illustrates this contrast: it retains the traditional appearance of demon hunter sabers while integrating details specific to its transformation, such as the lunar motifs engraved on the blade.
His trajectory symbolizes the tear between ambition and frustration, a reflection of a man divided between admiration and jealousy towards his brother Yoriichi. This katana is part of this heritage, a mixture of tradition and evolution.
This decorative reproduction is aimed at collectors attached to the Demon Slayer universe and objects charged with narrative meaning. It offers a faithful representation of the sword in its visual state, without combat function, solely to enrich a showcase or a space dedicated to Japanese animation.
